While I endeavor to be flexible to a client's needs and tailor my services accordingly, whenever I meet a new client, I like to start in the closet with a "Closet Revamp". I usually work with the client and together we go through every single item in the closet separating the good from the bad and the ugly. We make separate piles for consigning, donating, needs repair/alteration, etc. Throughout this process, I offer style tips and advice, as a closet inventory allows me to see what the client has been wearing, weed out anything he perhaps shouldn't be wearing, and observe and ruts and missing wardrobe staples. we'll then figure out what the clients should be wearing [factoring in age, lifestyle and shape] interpreting his own personal style in new and improved way both for weekday and weekend. Hopefully we'll find new outfit combinations from the closet along the way.
For many clients, after we purge and organize, we then "shop the closet". The client will often take notes or sometimes we take pictures as I suggest numerous new outfits. We'll end up with a list of needs for the next shopping trip [with which I can assist, of course].
Overall, no matter how we go about it, I want our time together to a truly educational experience, teaching clients how to shop for themselves and look for the right items. I have a nonintimidating "real world" approach that seems to experience a fun one for clients.
$25. Per Hour, 2 Hour Minimum.
Hate shopping? No time? Just want a fresh pair of eyes. Time with a professional shopper can help an individual find the right style for them, saving time, headaches and money [I love a bargain]. While beginning with a Closet Revamp is recommended for the "full experience" some clients instead choose to just have a brief meeting or phone conversation ahead of time so I can ask questions about the style, needs, sizing, etc. As for the shopping, usually I prefer to take time to shop on my own a bit before the client joins me, so I can have some items already pulled, this method seems to be the most effective allowing the client to get the most "bang for their buck". Then we will meet and go from place to place, where I will have things on hold.
$25. per hour plus the cost of clothing and accessories.
